Protective DNS Dashboard Overview

The DigitalStakeout PDNS dashboard provides administrators with a high-level time-based summary into key security metrics and information about a company's underlying protective DNS activity.
Threat Summary
The threat summary shows the top threats observed in your queries based on your selected time frame.
Threat Summary Sub Tabs
Context (the type of threats)
Network (protocol, target ASN and country)
Source (static site or virtual sites)
Domain Trust Activity
This analytic shows the average Graph DNS™ rank of the domains queried for the selected time period. The higher the number, the higher the relative risk to connecting to a malicious domain.
Greywall Activity
This analytic shows the number of repeat or new observed domains for the selected time period.
The panel will show if greywall is in learn or active mode.
*If your greywall is enabled, new hosts will be blocked until their release time expires.

These charts show top 5 details about accepted and blocked DNS queries based on your selected time frame.

DNS Activity Metrics
This analytic shows the number total DNS responses based on your selected time frame.
NOERROR metric: The DNS query successfully completed.
NXDOMAIN metric: The DNS query failed because the domain name does not exist.
SERVFAIL metric: The DNS query failed because an answer cannot be given.
